Nick has lost everything. A brutal robbery has destroyed his life and his dreams. Financially, he is facing ruin with just a few hundred marks in his bank account. It's Advent time, and out of nowhere his fortunes change. Nick is lucky in a lottery, his account suddenly contains a lot of money, and he meets the mysterious and life-hungry Eve. It's almost like a fairy tale. Nick blossoms, feels strong and seems to be on the winning side. But his supposed happiness dissolves into nothing overnight. Eve's demanding lovemaking and drugs drive Nick to commit a terrible act. He flees in a panic. When he regains consciousness, he leads the police to the scene of the crime. For doctor Malu, her new partner Hannes is simply perfect. But appearances are deceptive. As Malu gets involved in the relationship, she notices more and more strange things about Hannes. He turns up at her practice without being asked and interferes in Malu's professional affairs. He also intrudes more and more and then disappears again without a word. Malu finally breaks up with Hannes. But it's not over for him yet. Only now does Malu realize that he wants to have control over her life. Neither her private life nor her professional life are safe from him. Hannes gains access to her house, tampers with her computer and photographs her in her sleep. To make matters worse, Hannes even places an obituary for Malu. The police are powerless against the stalker as he leaves no trace. So Malu decides to stop him herself...
